Yes. On the Banks is a fully cashless site. Food, drinks, and merch can be bought with card or contactless payment only.

Each show is separately ticketed as a standing, general-admission event. Tickets are available online on each event page or by phone on 136 246. If you prefer to book in person, a temporary QTIX box office opens 60 minutes before gates at the entry point.

You'll receive your mobile tickets 48 hours before your show, sent by email and scanned at entry. Everyone on the same booking is encouraged to arrive together.

There's one main entry point. At the gate our team will guide you through bag checks, security screening, and ID checks. Illegal items will be confiscated.

Once you're in, you're in. For safety and licensing reasons, pass outs aren't allowed – so make sure you've got everything you need before you enter.

Yes. While these shows are age-restricted, babies under 18 months may attend if carried in arms or in an on-person baby carrier. Prams and strollers can't enter the site, and hearing protection isn't available on site.

On the Banks is on the Cultural Forecourt, South Bank – opposite the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), next to the Brisbane River, adjacent to the Brisbane Wheel and the Brisbane sign, between the Victoria and Neville Bonner bridges.

We recommend public transport – South Bank is serviced by buses, trains, and ferries.

For drop-offs, use Grey Street outside QPAC or South Brisbane train station. There's a dedicated accessible pick-up and drop-off zone on Russell Street, outside the ABC and QPAC Playhouse.

Parking is available at the Performing Arts Car Park (P1) via Stanley Place, with limited availability. Nearby options include the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and South Bank Parklands car parks. Check car park signage for rates and closure times – fines apply to patrons requiring after-hours release of vehicles.

Permitted items include your ticket (on your phone), valid photo ID, an EFTPOS or credit card, a sealed soft-plastic water bottle up to 600ml, an empty bottle without a lid for the free water stations, and a small handheld bag or backpack smaller than A4.

Prohibited items include oversized backpacks, chairs, prams, eskies, domestic animals (except assistance dogs), fireworks, weapons, laser pointers, drink bottles (other than the water bottles noted above), food, alcohol, umbrellas, selfie sticks, professional cameras, recording devices, large torches, banners or posters larger than A4, glass, aerosols, air horns, illegal substances, and drones.

If you have prescription medication, keep it in its original packaging with your name on the script. Working guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome on site.

On the Banks is an outdoor, all-weather event. Light rain won't stop the music, but in extreme conditions we'll share updates on our website and social channels.

Some shows may include sudden loud noises, fireworks, strobe lights, lasers, and crowded areas – so plan ahead if you're sensitive to these.

Yes – expect a lineup of food trucks with options for a range of tastes and dietary needs, plus plenty of bars and water stations to keep you hydrated throughout the night. No BYO food or drink, please.

There's no cloakroom or item storage on site, so anything on the prohibited list needs to stay at home. Check the conditions of entry for the full list, and travel light where you can.

Smoking and vaping are only allowed in the designated area. Follow the signs or ask any of our staff and they'll point you in the right direction.

Yes. If you're feeling unwell or need a hand, head to the First Aid and Medical tent, just to the left of the entry gate – look for the first aid symbol, or grab any staff member and we'll get you there.

Most shows will have artist merchandise for sale. You'll find the merch stall inside the venue, to the left of the entry gate.

On the Banks is wheelchair accessible, but as an outdoor site the ground is uneven in some areas.

Yes. On the Banks has a dedicated accessible viewing platform on The Deck, with a ramp, accessible restrooms, and easy access to food and drinks. Portable chairs are available for patrons who need one. Seating is uncovered as it's an outdoor venue. The Deck has very limited capacity – to book a spot, call 136 246.

Yes. On the Banks accepts the Queensland Government Companion Card, so a companion or support person can attend free of charge when assisting a patron with disability. Book Companion Card tickets through QTIX on 136 246.

Yes. Assistance animals are welcome. Please make sure your animal wears its ID vest or that you carry suitable documentation. If you need a relief area, ask our security team at the gate.

Yes. There's a dedicated accessible pick-up and drop-off zone on Russell Street, outside the ABC and QPAC Playhouse – approximately 204 metres from the entry.

Yes. There's a dedicated access lane at the main entry, shared by patrons with access needs, guests, and under-18s. Our staff are here to answer questions, offer support, and guide you to accessible facilities, including The Deck.

There are two accessible toilets on site, in the main portaloo area and both a short distance from The Deck. If you're in the main GA crowd and need quick access, chat to security and they'll guide you to the nearest accessible option.

On the Banks is for everyone. Treat other patrons, our staff, and the performers with respect. There's no place here for racism, homophobia, transphobia, harassment, rowdy behaviour, invading personal space, or drinking to excess.

The Cultural Forecourt is a flat riverside space, so everyone helps shape the view. If getting up close matters to you, arrive early to secure a good spot.
